The Instituto Kenntnis (IK) started in March 2008, following a break-up of the company Kenntnis Comercial Ltda., Founded in 2007, for various purposes, involving retail, wholesale, private label and product development, in addition to consultancy services in the areas of marketing, sales and business strategy.

From 2008 the provision of services became the responsibility of the Instituto Kenntnis, being the product development, marketing and distribution part with Kenntnis Comercial. In December 2013, following changes in the focus of its partners' activities, the Kenntnis Comercial company was decommissioned and the Instituto Kenntnis was inactive for a while, and its activities resumed after reconfiguration in January 2018.

In 2018, the Instituto Kenntnis started offering the following services: business management consulting activities; training and professional and managerial development, in person and at a distance; speeches; consultancy, courses and professional qualifications in the real estate area and in the areas of marketing, sales and business strategies; real estate appraisal services, development of business plans and intermediation in the purchase and sale of real estate and companies and classes in undergraduate and graduate courses.

In 2020, the company created a new brand, IMOBREUNIG - Imobiliária Breunig - with a focus on Real Estate Business, with the Kenntnis Institute brand remaining with Consulting activities. The purpose of IMOBREUNIG is to operate in the real estate market with Real Estate Advisory for Individuals and Legal Entities, Real Estate Projects and Business Plans, Feasibility Analysis of Real Estate Investments, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate for Sale and Intermediation in the Purchase and Sale of Real Estate.

The Instituto Kenntnis has in its corporate staff qualified professionals in each of the areas in which it operates, with long professional experience, combined with academic experience, which guarantees quality and excellence services. It is no coincidence that the company has the German term “Kenntnis” in its name, but it is because it means “knowledge,” which is what the Instituto Kenntnis offers its clients.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Instituto Kenntnis and IMOBREUNIG - Negócios Imobiliários is the Administrator Jairo Breunig, Master in Administration and Business, with an emphasis on Business Strategy (PUCRS), MBA in Marketing (FGV), Specialist in Business Administration (URI), Bachelor of Business Administration (UNIJUÍ), Real Estate Broker, Post-graduate Professor, Business Consultant and Speaker. His academic education and 40-year experience in the most diverse areas contributes to finding the best solutions for his clients' needs, with his current focus on the real estate market and in the areas of business strategy, marketing and sales.
